Sam Airey EP up on Dance To The Radio Store

17-02-10

Leeds is a veritable playground for up and coming (and good to the point) acoustic artists. One of our favourite at the moment is 22 year old Sam Airey who has just released his debut EP 'Seasons Changing.' Produced by DTTR compadre Whiskas the EP shows his influence from contemporary and traditional folk music, along with country and Americana, Sam plays a variety of instruments on the recording, but is also joined by Jim Morrow (drums), Hannah Wilson (backing vocals/additional keys) and Kieran O'Malley (fiddle). His live performances, often accompanied by friends, have garnered comparisons to such notable songsmiths as Nick Drake, Conor Oberst and Johnny Flynn.

Tune into the Dance To The Radio show on LSRFM at 21:00 GMT on Thursday 18th February to listen to an interview with Sam.
